Life can have some dark places. Sometimes we feel uncertain about the next step we should take because things are not as bright and clear as we would like. Even in parenting, we can find ourselves uncertain and needing some light on our path so that we can confidently make decisions and take the next step. Light is amazing. Scientists have a hard time defining or explaining light. You cannot add darkness to light and make the light ineffective. However, you can add light to the darkness, and the darkness actually is destroyed! Jesus mentions this in John 1:4-5— “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” God’s light is amazing and powerful! We need God’s light!
