Train Them Up in THE Way

$1.00

Helping children stay “on track” as they grow.
Object: A train figurine
Proverbs 22:6

The book of Proverbs is a collection of wise sayings, mostly written by King Solomon. Among these proverbs is a very interesting passage about children. King Solomon says: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. According to Hebrew scholars, the word translated, “Train up,” is not a very common word. It has a general meaning of “providing direction and establishing”. The child is to be trained in “the way he should go”. This is a very specific instruction. It refers to the one specific way that is right for that child. We must be very specific in the way we train a child. Preparing a child to follow the Lord is an intentional process.
