936 Pennies in a Jar
Using the time we have as parents wisely.
Object: A mason jar with 936 pennies.
1 Timothy 6:18-19
The Bible talks a lot about the responsibility of parents to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. It’s a huge responsibility, and one that we embrace as a Biblical imperative. There is so much we need to teach our children. Of course, we have plenty of time for that, right?
Someone has said, “The days are long, but the years are short.” We have exactly 216 months, or 936 weeks, or 6,570 days before a child’s 18th birthday. That sounds like a lot when you are looking at a new baby, but it is incredible how fast those months, weeks and days fly past. You need to be serious about how you invest in the spiritual lives of your children during that time.
